Lakes Course

On May 29, 2010 Lakes Course was inaugurated by the current European Tour winner Peter Hanson and golf course architect Kyle Phillips. The course was then fully opened to the public on the 29 June.

Here the player faces typical creeping bent grasses, small greens, more water hazards and large bunkers. The course has been built with the most modern methods and completely in harmony with nature. Right from the opening, the Lakes Course is a terrific test of golf and thoroughly examines the best of quality players.

You play with the clubhouse in the background and views over the beautiful countryside. The large, purpose-built lake bordering holes 9, 17 and 18 is daunting and provides a true test and fabulous backdrop for any connoisseur of the game.

Bunkers on the Lakes Course are 74 in number, no fewer than on the Links Course but with an overall area equal to almost three times that of  the Links course. Most definitely obstacles to be reckoned with or avoided.

The Lakes Course opens with a slight dog leg right par five measuring nearly 500 meters. Uphill, heavily bunkered all the way to a small undulating green. .
The secret of the ninth hole is to get the ball in play. A great drive, slightly right of the fairway, will help. But it is long and narrow all the way to the the green, where both water and bunkers await, An extremely challenging golf hole.

The tenth green is tricky to say the least tricky and there are some extremely tough flag placements, Carelessness can easily result in a double bogey.

The three finishing holes are demanding and require great courage and skill. The sixteenth although “only” protected by a little winding creek is all the more reason to keep the ball on the fairway.

Seventeenth on the Lakes Course and the Links Course are crucial short holes. You have to fly the ball 155 meters over the water, into a narrow but deep green with several bunkers guarding the right side.

The closing hole is 500 meters long with the lake all the way up the left side. The slope down to the water will punish the unaware or the careless.
Welcome to a different and exciting challenge. A beautiful piece of Florida in the heart of Skane
